Rose/Blush - Roses which are red grape varietals that are removed from their skins at various stages of the fermentation process and therefore their red color, imparted by their skins, is fainter varying in shades of light to dark pink. We exclude Champagnes from this category so please refer to that category for various pink sparkling wines. You can make a Rose from just about any red grape although most of our selections are made from Zinfandel, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Merlot or Cabernet Franc. Rose wines tend to be fruity, somewhat sweeter and always less tannic and less dry then their red counterparts.
