Zinfandel
Zinfandel - California is by far, the largest producer of Zinfandel followed by its cousin Primitivo which is indigenous to and made popular by Puglia, Italy. Our California Zinfandel is said to be traced back via DNA fingerprinting to strains of Zin from Croatia. Domestic Zinfandel is most often described as jammy with big berry like components, plenty of tannins, spicy and sometimes peppery flavors. It is often bold and structured with decent agability.
