The 2006 release of Gamba Old Vine “Moratto Vineyard” Zinfandel is a fruit-driven wine, bold and intense, offering a compelling nose of dark berry fruits, mocha, anise and spicy aromas. The color is a brilliant, deep dark violet. This is always a delightully surprising and remarkably full throttle Zin experience, offering an intense array of effusive dark stone fruit, including plum, ripe nectarine, and cherry flavors. Well structured, showing integrated toasty oak, and youthful tannins, this lively wine should cellar well for 5-7 years. - Winery Notes

Gamba's vines are 108 years old, naturally low yeilding. Organically dry farmed and influenced and guided by the family's heritage of over six generations of winegrape growing and over 60 years of winegrape growing in Sonoma County.
