Sagrantino is a rare grape but highly recommended. Excellent earth components and distinctive fruit, this wine displays relatively saturated fruit but it is the leather and earth that give it character. A complex, layered wine with interesting secondary components that should get more exagerated and highlighted over the next few years as the primary fruit sheds some of it's vibrancy. Drink 2008-2011.
