Nick's Pick!
Huge citrus on this wine. Perfect companion to any seafood on the menu. Very rich for Sauvignon Blanc with some zing to the finish!
Comments from the Winemaker This lush and inviting Sauvignon Blanc combines a rich, creamy mouthfeel with bright acidity and a long, refreshing finish. The aroma brings together appealing elements of Meyer lemon, grapefruit, orange blossom and peach nectar, with hints of honeysuckle and graham crackers. On the palate, tropical flavors of pineapple and mango are complemented by layers of citrus, peach and ginger spice.
Harvest Notes The 2007 growing season began early and was unusually dry, with rainfall totals that were 50 percent below average. Cool spring weather continued into the summer with temperatures down by approximately 5 degrees from August through October. The cool, steady weather produced a long harvest spread out over 80 days. This relaxed pace allowed us to pick in multiple passes, ensuring ideal ripening and flavor development in the fruit.
