This Old Vines Zinfandel has a relatively dry approach as opposed to jammy and it is quite engaging. With a nice balance to the weight of the tannins and the presence of the fruit, it is by no means a fruity rather it is well balanced and the wood is well integrated. Nice, smooth mouthfeel and lingers well with a great price for quality ratio!

On the nose the wine has layers of berry fruit and anise aromas with hints of spice. On the palate, blackberry and spicy plum fruit with a rich mouth feel trailing to a velvety toasted oak finish.
