We like Orin Swift wines as we are huge fans of Dave Phiney and we like his style! Here again, Dave hits a home run WITH THE INAUGURAL RELEASE OF HIS BORDEAUX VARIETAL BLEND (COMPOSITION LISTED BELOW)! Big robust black fruit appeal with structured but well integrated oak. A little more dry than the Prisoner as one would expect but seemlessly smooth and elegantly rich. This blend has engaging, saturated and layered fruit, and it lingers on the palate. Dark purple, almost black in color. Grab this before someone reviews it and drives up the price!

The label is photographed by Greg Gorman who focused on the hands of the vineyard manager Vince Tofanelli of Tofanelli Vineyards, the primary source vineyard for the Papillon. Vince is a 3rd generation Italian American who's great grand parents first immigrated to Napa and passed on their love of the vine to their children, grand children and great grand children.
