89 PTS FROM WINE SPECTATOR!
Ripe and generous, lithe in structure, with fine tannins around a glowing core of black currant, blackberry and savory tones as the finish lingers solidly. Best from 2010 through 2015. 1,200 cases made. ûHS MARCH 2009 ISSUE
STAFF SELECTION!
Horse Heaven Hills fruit is so very well balanced with respect to fruit and acidity. This gives way to a very smooth Cabernet that will also age gracefully. Give this 45 minutes of decanting time as it is very well made, beyond it's price tag. The fruit is generous but not overly ripe on this wine, the structure is masculine, linear, muscular and long. With breathing time it softens up and lengthens. Washington State is doing some impressive things with Horse Heaven Hills Vineyard!
