The 2007 TINTO (just labeled Crasto because some of the fruit comes from CrastoÆs vineyards outside of the official Quinta do Crasto) is a blend of Tinta Roriz (35%), Tinta Barroca (25%), Touriga Franca (25%) and Touriga Nacional (15%). It is charming and pleasing, but rather light and compact, likely to be refreshing, but early maturing. This is fun, but it has a certain straightforward simplicity to it. Drink now-2014. Duoro Reds have been one of the hip new wines to come out on the market. In 2008 the Quinto do Crasto Reserve made it to number 3 on Wine Spectator's top 100. This Tinto is a red blend of traditional grapes from the Duoro that gives you and idea of what these reds are all about. Serve these reds slightly chilled. In fact, in Fresno, in the Summer, you might as well chill all of your reds at least a little bit adn the will be more pleasurable. - Nick's Staff Notes

Winery Notes Varieties of grapes used are traditional grapes of Portugal including Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca ,Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.

Palate: A medium bodied palate which is rich in wild berry characters. The wine finishes with great length, balance and texture.

From the Douro region of Portugal. Quinta do Crasto's Douro Red is a fresh, fruity wine which is accessible at an early age combining the character of the fruit with hints of spice.

The palate is rich and vibrant well supported by soft tannins and balanced acidity.
