The generic 2007 Pinot Noir is a soft, lush red offering notes of boysenberries, cranberries, raspberries, earth, and smoke. This medium-bodied, seductive Pinot is meant for consumption over the next 2-4 years. AUGUST 2009 ISSUE
WINERY NOTES Dark ruby red in color. The nose offers a vibrant display of wild strawberry, ripe pomegranite, bing cherry and baking spices. As with all of the 2007 Pinot Noirs, there is incredible concentration on the palate. The tannins are rich with notes of clove and sage coming through on the end.
The Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is a cuvee of various lots in the cellar. Generally a blend of equal parts from GarysÆ Vineyard and Pisoni Vineyards, the wine creates a genuine representation of the Pinot Noir produced in the Santa Lucia Highlands.
