A wine with very attractive aromas of ripe blackberry, fresh forest mushroom and raspberry. Full-bodied, with amazing fruit concentration and powerful tannins. The power and richness of this wine are superb. A fantastic effort for the vintage. Best after 2014. 560 cases made. ûJS JULY 2009
Antonio Galloni of the Wine Advocate ...The 2005 Barolo Vigna Giachini shows plenty of intensity in its red fruit, smoke, tar and French oak. The wine reveals excellent persistence, depth and definition. This is one of the more oaky wines in the lineup, and with a more moderate approach more vineyard and varietal character might show through. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2021.
These stylish, deeply-colored wines from Giovanni Corino offer terrific quality. APRIL 2009 ISSUE
