Donelli has been a mainstay item on our winelist for over 5 years now. Lambrusco does refer to the grape varietals and Donelli is from the region of Emilia Romagna, in the province of Modena in the North of Italy. This is an Amabile which refers to it's sweetness level. We prefer amabiles and dolces, we do not carry any dry Lambruscos at this time. It has a loveably, delicate flavor that has a pleasantly balanced freshness with vibrant fruit forward qualities. It is extremely versatile and is ideal as refreshing aperitif, ice cold to relax at the begining of a gathering. While it's fruity quality makes you consider it as a dessert accompaniement to perhaps, chocolate... it is actually intended to accompany an entree, especially roasted Pork recipes.
