Possibly the finest Viognier John Alban has yet produced, the 2005 exhibits an intense perfume of apricots, honeysuckle, and assorted tropical fruits. It reminded me of GuigalÆs Condrieu La Doriane because of its good underlying acidity and fabulous texture as well as length. This beauty should drink well for 2-3 years.
