Cordant Winery Nelle California Syrah 2014

Cordant Winery Nelle California Syrah 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Undeniably Central Coast Syrah on the nose. Ripe dark fruit is apparent right off the back, then morphs into dried fig and subtleties of roasted lamb. Demanding at first taste and driven by fruit. Tannins are round and slightly velvety. The dark fruit remains with you throughout its long and chewy finish. Hard to put down the glass as it evolves.

Wine EnthusiastBlackberry and ripe elderberry meet with white pepper and thyme on the nose of this bottling by winemaker Tyler Russell. It's soft and syrupy on the sip, with rich blueberry, blackberry and a touch of kirsch made more interesting by a hint of anise and mint on the finish.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Syrah comes from a number of sites in the central coast and spent 18 months in 60% new French oak. It has a big, sweet nose of toasted spice, black raspberries, cassis and toasted bread. This carries to a sexy, polished and textured Syrah that has lots of sweet fruit and a solid finish.
