Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio 2014

Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

This celebrated variety derives from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir. Pinot Grigio favours cooler climates and finds its ideal habitat on the hillsides. Livio Felluga's vinification technique gives the wine finesse and elegance while preserving the faint coppery highlights that are Pinot Grigio's hallmark. Without doubt, it is the best-known Friulian wine around the world. Appearance: yellow with light copper reflections Nose: elegant, with a well-balanced fusion of dry apricot, Asian pear, bread crust, mulberry, white raspberries, persimmon, propolis, Amorpha Fruticosa (flowering plant: false indigo bush), acacia, white fig. Palate: savory, harmonious, voluminous, fatty; the aftertaste develops through long and complex fruity aromas of yellow plum, jujube, papaya. Serving suggestions: A particularly good match for fish, seashell, risottos and baked vegetables.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Pinot Grigio is a clean and refreshing wine with citrus, apricot and white peach. This was a difficult vintage, but the Felluga family has been successful in presenting the softer and richer side of this versatile grape. Those pretty fruit tones are followed by drying mineral sensations and pretty layers of wild sage and dried basil leaf.

Wine SpectatorA creamy white, with crushed almond and white peach notes, layered with a subtle, minerally underpinning. Fresh finish.
