Wine SpectatorThis red is dense with cherry, strawberry and floral notes, building to a juicy finish. The structure is there too, but this is more about the fruit. Sangiovese and Colorino. Drink now through 2023. 6,983 cases made.
Bodegas Muga Rioja Reserva Selección Especial 2011This is one of those vintages which is great to drink from the start without detracting in the least its potential for laying down for the future. These wines amaze you with their great flavour from the first sip, the seemingly precocious integration of the tannins, the freshness of their "Atlantic" features interwoven with the more mature "Mediterranean" character. If we look for the words to describe the wine we can come up with ripe fruit, without reaching the dried fruit stage, mainly small red berries and plums, followed by balsamic notes, especially mint and liquorice, and then, right at the end, hints of spices in the pepper, clove and vanilla range gently coming through. In retro-olfaction spices like tobacco and vanilla make a strong impression. Then, very subtle milky nuances evolve, followed by noble leather. All perfectly integrated in glorious harmony. A very pleasant mouth-feel with the sweetness of fine lees, pastries and soft, noble tannin.
Descendientes de J. Palacios Petalos del Bierzo 2015'Petalos' is D.J.P.'s regional introduction wine to the Mencias of Bierzo. Largely from Corullon fruit (including declassified material from the single vineyard sites), but includes some material from sites managed, rather than owned by Alvaro and Ricardo. Absolutely gorgeous, plush, elegant and floral - trademark roses and pepper tree perfume, bright and earthy at once, red fruits hybridised with the juice of rose petals, peppercorn and roast meat juice. It's very savoury, elegant, satiny but dry, long and supple with sour cherries and dried sage.
Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon 2015Drawing from a patchwork of six prime Napa Valley AVAs to create full-bodied, rich, and decadent wines, Quilt exemplifies the classic structure of wines from the region, while the blending of fruit from a variety of vineyards allows the wines to maintain more complexity and a better style consistency from vintage to vintage.
Honoro Vera Garnacha 2016The grapes come from vineyards, 30-40 years old, with yields of 2T/Ha and located high on the hillsides, 700-900 metres above sea level. The vineyards are planted in mainly decomposed slate and gravely clay soils. The fermentation was carried out in small stainless steel tanks for 15 days at temperetures below 27oC, and then spent a short period of two months in French oak barrels. It exhibits greater aromatic complexity, richness with mineral and blueberry notes leading to a savory and spicy wine nicely balanced and very easy to drink. FOOD PAIRINGS Rice, pasta (noodles, spaghetti, macaroni), white and blue fish, goat cheese, cold meat, vegetables, lentil soup, peas, mushroom, beef, chicken, roast meat, red and white grill meat. SERVICE TEMPERATURE 14 - 16 oC
Pacherhof Pinot Grigio 2015Color: Bright straw-yellow color with greenish hues. Bouquet: The nose is rich of fruity aromas with impressions of apple, candied pear, and almonds. When fully mature, overtones of nuts and honey are noticeable. Flavor: On the palate the wine is silky and juicy, with a good structure and a round and harmonious finish, thanks to aging in oak barrels. Pairings: Ruländer Pinot Grigio goes extremely well with light starters, cold cuts, fish and seafood. Ideal also with egg and mushrooms recipes.

BenMarco Malbec 2014Los Chacayes is an extraordinary Terroir. Its sandy loam and rocky soils guarantee good permeability, limit plants growth and assure perfect ripeness. BenMarco Malbec is a testament to Uco Valley where it hails from, proffering a bouquet of fresh black fruit, floral notes of violets, with bright acidity, firm tannins and great length.
Cantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano D'abruzzo Tralcetto 2015Intense violet robe. Aromas of plum and ripe blackberry. Each sip delivers a mouthful of ripe berries, leather and black pepper with subtle hints of oregano, dried herbs and a touch of vanilla; all leading to a dry and supple finish. Food Pairings: Assertive, full-flavored "country style" cooking such as: venison or rabbit stew; ossobuco; roast leg of lamb; spaghetti puttanesca; pasta with sausage, pepper and onions; roast duck with green peppercorn sauce.
Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva 2014Appearance: The initial ruby red gradually shades into warmer, less intense shades as the wine ages. Nose: The faintly tousled woodland fragrances of the wine's first year mature with ageing into a complex, elegant bouquet proffering distinct whiffs of violets that fuse well with the tertiary notes of spiciness contributed by cask conditioning. Palate: Warm, dried and beautifully poised, with a restrained background note of plums and an aristocratic hint of oak.
Quady Red Salt Of The Earth Rubino Flore de Moscato 2017Staff Selection for Best Buy - I love this wine because it reminds me of pomegranates, raspberries and apples with just a touch of spritz.
