Winery Notes - 12% alcohol. There are compelling aromas & flavors of lime cordial, elderflower, honeysuckle, starfruit & kiwifruit, quince paste, kumquat, preserved lemons, candied ginger & white gumdrops. Similarly, floral notes of gardenia & jasmine overfloweth from the glass. The color is a pale gold with a hint of expensive green. This wine ticks all the boxes of juicy acidity, great intensity and lovely texture.
A to Z Winery in Oregon has achieved a very nice balance to their entire line of wines. They seem to offer just enough flesh to their fruit to have aromatic and engaging wines. They do not however, over ripen nor over extract therefore, their wines have lovely, velvety texture and bright acidity making them ideal for pairing with fine cuisine. There is a quartet of friends, who produce A to Z wines and they all come from stellar Oregon wineries including Domaine Drouhin, Archery Summit, Chehalem and Eyrie. This beautiful silk screened label is a tribute to the bees and a portion of the proceeds from their sales go to researching the disappearing bees that are vital to the wine industry. Pairs ideally with spice, salty and complex cuisine like Indian, Asian, Spanish, North African and Peruvian recipes.
